Telus this week brought its 4G long-term evolution network to Orillia in Ontario and Labrador City in Newfoundland. The additions mean that Telus' LTE network now reaches more than 27 million Canadians, or nearly 80% of the country's population. “We’re pleased our customers in Orillia are now among the more than 27 million Canadians who enjoy access to the world’s fastest wireless technology from TELUS,” said Darryl Hutton, director of sales for Telus. “We continue to invest in expanding and improving our network service, community by community across Ontario.” Telus has invested $30 billion since 2000 in its networks, which include its 4G HSPA network. Launched in 2009, that network reaches 97% of Canadians. Posted by Techvibes Newsdesk October 28th
